Four things I am actively looking for. If any of them sounds like your group, please write. I am equally happy to be the measurement and modelling half of a collaboration or the one bringing the problem.
- AI agents for biosensing. I want to work with people building agentic and language-model systems that have to run against real instrument output: noisy, low-cost, field-collected data rather than clean benchmarks. That includes agents that design an assay, interpret a raw sensor reading, or decide what to measure next.
- AI-enhanced computational biology, chemistry, and materials. Machine learning and foundation models aimed at the parts of these fields where the data is scarce, expensive, or messy: predicting how an analyte and a dye will interact before anyone runs the reaction, mapping how a nanoparticle's optical response shifts with shape and size, classifying single cells, and reading genomes at scale. - Perspectives and review articles. I like writing the piece that organizes a field rather than adding one more result to it, and I am glad to co-author perspectives, reviews, and roadmaps across biosensing, AI for science, computational chemistry, and materials. Three of mine ran as journal cover articles and one was a top viewed article in Advanced Functional Materials.
- Seminar and department talks. If your department, group, or seminar series hosts outside speakers, I would enjoy presenting this work. I can pitch it toward chemical engineering, bioengineering, plant sciences, or AI for science, depending on the audience.
